Check Integration Services Version By Using Powershell

We often deploy VM and upgrade integration services. But sometime, we do missed out 1 or 2 VM on getting the update IC. Here is a useful command that I frequently use during virtual machine deployment.

get-vm | ft Name, IntegrationServicesVersion

Tried it on Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V. The entire VMs are installed with 6.2.9200.16384 except one VM (as listed below).

IC

So time to upgrade the IC and make sure it is the same as the rest of the VMs.

  1. Dear Lai,

    Thank you for your post.

Could you please advise on how to upgrade to the latest integration services .1433 automatically for many VMs from different Hyper-V hosts using powershell?

I tried to do this using below script but it's not working:

  2. Hi Charo,
Yup saw that script but that script only work on Win 2008 Hyper-V. If i'm not mistaken the highest that you can install is .16384 and saw in Technet forum that they will come out the fix on that soon.
