Different types of virtual network in Hyper V

Before you use Hyper v, you need to configure virtual network for your VM. There are 3 different types of virtual network for Hyper v

a) External - Bind to physical network adapter. This provide the same network level as your access through network using physical network adapter.

b) Internal - does not bind to physical network adapter. Suitable for test environment whereby you do not want to affect the existing network environment. VM connect to this virtual network can communicate with all the VM and the host.

c) Private - does not bind to physical network adapter. Also suitable for test environment . Connectivity is only between VM.

So choose your virtual network adapter wisely for your Virtual machine.
