Part 107:-Install SCCM 2007 R2

Before i talk about Part 106: SCCM Client Installation method, let install SCCM2007 SP1 to R2. SCCM 2007 R2 is not an upgrade version. It is an add-on features. So one of the requirement, your SCCM 2007 must be SCCM2007 SP1.

Let walkthough the checklist according to my lab environment:-

Checklist 1: Must be SCCM2007 SP1 - OK
Checklist 2: Verify SCCM Site Status does not reported unresolved operation issue -OK
Checklist 3: Install any critical Windows Update on the site server and site system- OK
Checklist 4:- Install any critical SQL server updates on the site database server -OK
Checklist 5:- Disable Site SQL Replication (if any) -OK
Checklist 6:- Backup the site system -OK . Refer to Part 106: Backup SCCM
Checklist 7:- Extend Active Directory schema -OK
Checklist 8:- Restart site server and site system -OK
Checklist 9:- If multiple site exist, must first install at Central site, then Primary site and lastly secondary site -OK
Checklist 10:-Verify successful Site Installation -OK
Pls check
-ConfigMgrSetup.log located at the root of the system drive for the string Configuration manager setup is successfully.





-ComponentSetup.log file located at the root of the system drive.








Below is the snapshot process of the installation:-

Click Install Configuration Manager 2007 R2.







Welcome screen appear explain about the feature of SCCM2007 R2.







Accept the EULA agreement.







Enter the registration information







Click Next to start the installation.








That's concluded the installation of SCCM 2007 R2.

The installation is quite fast as this is just an add-on features for SCCM 2007.
